A few weeks ago, writer and blogger Marji Laine tagged me to answer 11 fun questions, and then pass the quiz along to 11 bloggers. Since I love personality quizzes that don't involve me having to add or subtract numbers, I decided to play along. Hope you will, too. Here goes!
1. Book or movie and why?
I have to say book. The movie is kind of like Chinese food. It can be good, but you're never fully satisfied.
2. Real book or e-book?

3. Funniest thing you've done in the last 5 years?
Dress my husband up as H.G. Wells and drag him kicking and screaming to a steampunk convention. Hey, I go to basketball games for him. Marriage is about sacrifice, lol.
4. How would your best friend describe you?

5. Do you put yourself into the books you read/write or the movies you watch?
I do, especially in action movies. I picture myself kicking butt alongside Jason Statham and Terry Cruz, when in reality, I couldn't keep up and would probably have an asthma attack.

Lamborghini Diablo, because it's sleek and the car doors go up instead of out, rendering the problem of parking in tight spaces obsolete. And if I had the $300k under the mattress to afford one, I'd get it in pink.
7. Would your choice of party be a catered meal or barbecue out back?
Catered. I'm not a barbecue person. I hate the smell of smoke in my clothes, hair, and the upholstery. Sounds prissy, but you try getting the scent of day-old bratwurst out of your throw pillows.
8. What's your favorite season and why?
Winter. I love the cold and the quiet of the season that makes you reflect on your life. Philosophical musings aside, I hate to sweat.
9. What specific lesson have you learned - Spiritual, educational, occupational?
A couple of years ago, I was misdiagnosed with thyroid cancer. I was also going through a period of unemployment and some life situations that made me very depressed. Those events forced me to dig my heels in and keep believing in God's saving grace. Here I am today, healthy, happy for the most part, and seeing the Lord continually bring my dreams to pass. It's a story for another post, one that I'll gladly share some day.
10. Besides writing, what's your favorite thing to do when you get some extra time?
I don't have one favorite thing. I read voraciously and love to sit in coffee shops. I also enjoy hiking, fencing, and swing dancing. On the happy occasion that I have extra money, I like to go shopping.
11. What's one place you can be found at least one time every week?
Probably at Barnes & Noble. Even if I don't buy any books, I like to peruse the titles and find inspiration from skimming through The Romantic Times Book Review mag.
That's my little take. I'm passing these questions on to the next 11. Your turn, bloggers!
