Georgia On My Mind

I hope those that were able to attend the ACFW conference had a great time this weekend! Congratulations to Genesis contest winner Brandy Vallance and all of the finalists. I wish I could have been there to applaud all of you!

Well, the time is coming up fast for my husband and I to leave Colorado. Next week we will be on our way to becoming Georgia peaches. The movers are scheduled to come and we have our new address. I'm going to miss the community of friends and writers I found in Colorado, but a year is not forever. Plus, I'm looking forward to making new friends in Georgia.

Also this past week I received news from my publisher that my upcoming novel has been postponed for release until Fall 2013. I won't lie and say I'm not disappointed by the delay, but my publisher said this will give the book the best opportunity for promotion and to reach a broader audience. I'm very hopeful still. I'm trusting God with my work and choosing to step out in faith that His timing is best.

I'll be taking another two-week break from blogging in order to make the cross-country move. It's been that kind of year where it seems health issues, work, and other transitions have established their dominance, but happily in the upcoming months, things will be on their way to becoming settled. See you in October!

Have you embraced autumn yet?
